Technical Design Engineer Placement
Main purpose of the job
Working closely with and supporting the Sales Team, you will work within the technical sales office and be responsible for preparing 3D Layouts, GA drawings and rendered images which can be used by the sales managers to present solutions to potential clients.

Key duties and responsibilities
Sales Support
Prepare GA drawings/layouts.
Prepare 3D images/rendering of layouts/use of SolidWorks Visualize etc.
Prepare sales proposals/technical specifications/marketing tools incorporating 3D images/layouts.
Liaise closely with all relevant stakeholders including sales team, customers, engineering department, purchasing/suppliers, aftermarkets, factory personnel etc.
Travel globally if required to
Meet customers
Attend trade show
Other duties as required relevant to the role
Engineer Support
To help you develop your own skills and be able to support the sales team better you may be asked from time to time to support engineer team in terms of;
Concept designs for modifying existing designs or new R+D
Modelling of designs
Detailing of designs
General engineering design

What you will need
Required criteria
- 3D modelling / detailing package (preferably SolidWorks).
- Mechanical, general, product engineering disciplines are preferable.
- Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Be able to work as a team member on a collective project or on your own initiative.
- Excellent organisational skills.
- Be able to multi task and prioritise your work to meet various deadlines.
Desired criteria
- AutoCAD is preferable but not essential.
- Knowledge of hydraulics/electrics would be preferable but not essential.
