Senior Room Attendant

We are seeking a reliable and enthusiastic person to become part of our talented housekeeping team at the exclusive Grand Central Hotel.

The successful candidate can expect to work 35 hours per week (excluding breaks), five shifts out seven including weekends.
The salary for this full-time position is £22,422 per annum. Hours vary, but typical shift patterns include, 7am to 3pm, 3pm to 11pm.

About the role
To supervise the work of housekeeping cleaners to ensure the bedrooms and corridors have been cleaned to the hotel’s standards.
To ensure the floor and trolley stocks are checked and maintained, ordering replacement stocks as necessary.
To ensure relevant housekeeping cleaners receive the appropriate training & coaching in order to do their job.
To perform a variety of housekeeping cleaning activities as required.
To ensure quality standards and procedures are fully understood and implemented and daily checking procedures are correctly applied.
To be knowledgeable about the facilities and services within the hotel and be proactive in the sale of these to guests.
To assist guests with any reasonable request for hotel services
Respond to complaints and find the appropriate solution.
To maintain the security of bedrooms and stock always, immediately reporting any breaches and dealing with lost property in accordance with hotel’s procedures.
To ensure all equipment and materials are used in the correct manner and any problems are reported immediately.
To ensure a safe environment is maintained in compliance with all health, safety and hygiene policies and procedures.
Report any technical and maintenance needs.
To work effectively with colleagues to ensure a harmonious working environment where all employees are treated with respect and dignity.
Any other duties as required by management.
