Tomorrow’s Guides is a highly successful technology business, publishing industry leading websites carehome.co.uk, homecare.co.uk and daynurseries.co.uk. Combined these sites achieve over 20 million visitors a year and have over 600,000 verified reviews. Having achieved fantastic growth for several years we have exciting plans to grow substantially in the coming years by connecting care seekers to care providers. 

About this role:

Reporting to the Business Development Team Leader, the Business Development Executive plays a pivotal role in attracting new clients to carehome.co.uk, homecare.co.uk and daynurseries.co.uk. They are responsible for identifying leads, introducing them to the relevant brand, preparing a compelling offer, closing the sale and ensuring they are successfully set up on the platform.

The day-to-day duties of the Business Development Executive are to pinpoint new prospects, effectively manage their sales funnel and provide new customers with a first-class onboarding experience.

This is a full-time role with the option of hybrid working of 3 days in the office and 2 days working from home (laptop and work equipment supplied). It is important that the candidate lives within commutable range of Hungerford.

About the role

Key responsibilities:

  • Define and develop strategies for identifying leads

  • Establishing an effective sales approach and applying it consistently

  • Engage and interact with decision-makers at all levels up to senior level to identify new and emerging business opportunities

  • Carry out data cleansing to provide accurate information and support for marketing campaigns and to increase new business opportunities

  • Occasionally representing the company at important trade events

The ideal candidate:

  • Previous sales experience

  • Adept at telephone negotiation and a first-class telephone manner

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Confident, resilient and persistent

  • Professional and resourceful

  • A hunger for product and commercial knowledge

  • The drive and tenacity to succeed and be motived and determined to deliver

  • Confidence and professionalism in being able to convey and discuss our offering

  • Possesses a desire to improve processes and be part of a successful sales team

Salary and Benefits:

  • Salary in the region of £24,000 depending on experience

  • Commission dependent on performance in the region of £15,000

  • £4,000 per annum discretionary company bonus scheme

  • 25 days holidays, plus Bank Holidays

  • 6% employer pension contribution

  • A working week of 35 hours - Monday-Thursday, 9:00 am -5:00 pm, 4:00 pm finish on a Friday
