About the role

As Finance Manager, you’ll take responsibility for the day-to-day financial operations, ensuring the smooth running of our services. From managing the outsourced bookkeeping services to overseeing audits and ensuring robust financial controls, your work will underpin our ability to deliver high-quality care. You’ll also support the business by preparing financial reports, running data analytics, and ensuring compliance with all obligations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee outsourced bookkeeping services and maintain accounting records.

  • Managing day-to-day financial operations, including invoicing, credit control, petty cash audits, and payroll reconciliation.

  • Prepare and deliver monthly Profit & Loss Accounts and Balance Sheets, and ensure full reconciliations between the general ledger and subsidiary ledgers.

  • Use data analytics to assess staff efficiency, and compliance, and identify potential fraud.

  • Conduct quarterly profitability and expense checks across each home.

  • Ensure strict implementation of internal controls, focusing on accurate invoicing, cash management, supplier contracts, and travel expenses.

  • Facilitate the annual external audit process.

What We Are Looking For

  • A qualified accountant holding ACCA or equivalent with at least 5 years experience.

  • Previous experience with Big 4 auditing would be advantageous.

  • Strong leadership and team management skills, with a track record of overseeing performance.

  • Proficiency in accounting systems and Microsoft Office.

  • Excellent knowledge of IFRS and FRS 101.

  • Strong attention to detail, and a strong analytical mindset, with the ability to problem-solve with commercial insight.

  • A self-starter who can work independently and thrives in a multi-cultural environment.
