Management Accountant

With over 50 years’ experience in the logistics industry McCulla Ireland are one of the country’s leading providers of ambient, chilled and frozen logistics solutions throughout Ireland, the United Kingdom and Europe.

We currently have Operating Centres across Northern Ireland and Ireland, with further plans for expansion.  McCulla has over 300 employees working across our Transport, Warehousing, Customs and Green Bioenergy Operations.   There is an ever-growing modern fleet consisting of over 120 vehicles and 200 trailers operating our just in time service with environmental sustainability at the forefront of everything we do and making us unique in the market for our customers.

 The Person

This role will require a professional individual, with excellent communication & organisational skills.

 Working in a fast-paced environment and reporting to the Financial Controller you will be a key part of the overall Finance Team in terms of providing & analysing management accounts.  You will also have the opportunity to professionally develop whilst adding value on a daily basis.

About the role

Duties:

  • Preparation and Review of monthly management accounts.

  • Preparation of accurate and timely produced accounts information for the management team.

  • Working to tight deadlines around month end and compliance.

  • Leading AR, AP and Cash close process.

  • Completion of month-end balance sheet reconciliations.

  • Completion of UK and ROI VAT Returns.

 

Criteria:

  • Relevant industry experience or ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified / part - qualified accountant

  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.

  • Must be proficient working with the MS Office suite.

  • Excellent administration & organisational skills.

  • Have a proactive & positive approach to work.

Terms:

  • Full Time Permanent Role.

  • 37.5 hours per week, Monday – Friday.

  • Hybrid working options available.
