About the role

Duties and Responsibilities of the Role:

  • Plan, organize, and lead a variety of fitness classes catering to different fitness levels and interests.

  • Offer personalized training sessions to individual club members, tailoring exercise programs to their specific goals, needs, and fitness levels.

  • Demonstrate proper exercise techniques and form, ensuring that members perform exercises safely and effectively.

  • Give clear and engaging instructions during classes and personal training sessions, motivating participants to stay committed to their fitness routines.

  • Observe participants during workouts to ensure they are exercising with proper form and technique, while also being attentive to their safety and well-being.

  • Provide constructive feedback and support to members, helping them progress in their fitness journey and overcome any challenges they may encounter.

  • Conduct fitness assessments for new members to understand their current fitness levels and recommend appropriate exercise programs.

  • Ensure that fitness equipment is well-maintained, clean, and in good working condition. Report any issues to management for timely resolution.

  • Help maintain the overall cleanliness and organization of the fitness facility, ensuring a pleasant and safe environment for all members.

  • Actively promote club services, such as group classes, personal training packages, and other fitness-related programs to encourage member engagement and retention.

  • Keep abreast of the latest fitness trends, training methodologies, and industry developments to enhance your knowledge and expertise.

  • Implement safety protocols and emergency procedures to ensure the well-being of all members during classes and workouts.

  • Participate in organizing and conducting fitness events, challenges, or workshops to foster a sense of community and camaraderie among club members.

  • Assist with administrative tasks such as class scheduling, attendance tracking, and member communication.

Requirements for the role:

  • Relevant fitness certifications from recognized.

  • Current CPR and first aid certification are mandatory to ensure the ability to respond to emergencies.

  • Strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills to effectively lead classes, engage with clients, and provide clear instructions.

  • Maintaining a high level of personal fitness and health is important to serve as a role model for clients.

  • The ability to inspire and motivate clients to achieve their fitness goals is crucial in this role.

  • A focus on safety during workouts and exercise routines is essential for preventing injuries.

  • Demonstrating a professional demeanour and maintaining a positive attitude towards clients and colleagues is important.
