About the role
Duties and Responsibilities of the Role:
Handle incoming reservation requests through various channels (phone, online, in-person).
Maintain an organized and up-to-date reservation system.
Welcome guests with a friendly and professional demeanour.
Escort guests to their tables, ensuring a smooth and efficient seating process.
Coordinate with the kitchen and waitstaff to manage table turnover and ensure a seamless dining experience.
Relay special requests or accommodations to the appropriate team members.
Have a thorough understanding of the restaurant's menu offerings.
Provide recommendations and answer questions about menu items.
Attend to guest inquiries, concerns, and special requests.
Ensure guest satisfaction and address any issues promptly and professionally.
Promote special menu items, promotions, and upselling opportunities.
Maximize revenue by encouraging guests to explore various offerings.
Maintain the cleanliness and presentation of the host area and entrance.
Monitor the overall ambiance of the restaurant, ensuring it aligns with our luxury standards.
Monitor and manage the flow of guests to avoid congestion.
Liaise with the outlet manager and other team members to ensure smooth operations.
Assist in organizing special events and group bookings.
Provide support during busy periods to ensure guest satisfaction.
Handle cash and credit card transactions accurately.
Process payments and provide receipts to guests.
Participate in training sessions to stay informed about menu changes, promotions, and hotel services.
Requirements for the role:
Previous experience in a similar role, preferably in a luxury hotel or upscale restaurant.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
Professional appearance and demeanour.
Knowledge of reservation systems and basic cash-handling procedures.
Customer-focused attitude with a passion for delivering exceptional service.
