About the role

Key Responsibilities You'll Take On:

  • Lead the day-to-day financial operations, including managing accounts payable, receivable, payroll, and maintaining the general ledger with precision.

  • Play a vital role in preparing insightful monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.

  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to provide financial insights and drive strategic decision-making across the organisation

  • Conduct financial analysis to uncover trends and variances, providing critical insights that drive business decisions with regards to all products and services.

  • Contribute to the development and implementation of streamlined financial policies and procedures for smooth, efficient operations.

  • Support the preparation and monitoring of budgets and forecasts, ensuring the company achieves its financial objectives.

  • Action regular weekly and monthly exception reports, comparing to KPI’s and budgets to drive impactful business decisions and ensure continuous improvement

  • Collaborate with external auditors during the year-end audit, ensuring full compliance with industry standards and regulations.

  • Be a proactive contributor on special financial projects and play a key role in mentoring and developing finance assistants.

Essential Qualifications:

·       A minimum of 2 years of experience in a finance-related role.

·       Familiarity with UK financial regulations and accounting standards.

·       Proficiency in financial software including Xero accounting software.

·       Strong skills in Excel.

·       Strong analytical abilities, with a keen attention to detail.

·       Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.

Desired Qualifications:

·       A Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.

·       Have or are working towards a professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACCA, CIMA, ACA)
