Assistant Brasserie Manager

About the role
Duties and Responsibilities of the Role:
• Assist the Bar Manager in the smooth functioning of day-to-day bar operations, including opening and closing procedures, bar set-up, and ensuring the bar area's cleanliness and organization.
• Help recruit, train, and supervise bar staff. Provide guidance and support to ensure efficient and professional service delivery.
• Work with the Bar Manager to ensure exceptional customer service is provided to all patrons, addressing any customer concerns or issues promptly to maintain a positive and welcoming atmosphere.
• Assist in managing the selection, rotation, and availability of beverages, including alcoholic and non- alcoholic drinks. Collaborate with the Bar Manager to monitor inventory levels, place orders, and conduct regular stocktaking to control costs and avoid stockouts.
• Help maintain high-quality standards for beverage preparation, presentation, and service. Conduct regular taste tests and inspections under the guidance of the Bar Manager to ensure consistency.
• Support the Bar Manager in enforcing responsible alcohol service practices to adhere to local, state, and federal regulations. Assist in implementing safety procedures to ensure a safe environment for staff and customers.Georgian Elegance - Modern Luxury - A Warm Welcome
• Aid in monitoring bar expenses, labour costs, and inventory shrinkage to contribute to achieving profitability targets. Assist in preparing financial reports and forecasts for review by the Bar Manager and management team.
• Collaborate with the Bar Manager and marketing team to plan and execute bar promotions, events, and special offers to attract customers and increase sales.
• Help ensure all bar equipment is properly maintained and in good working condition. Report any maintenance or repair needs to the Bar Manager promptly.
• Participate in conducting training sessions for bar staff to enhance their skills, product knowledge, and customer service under the guidance of the Bar Manager.
• Assist in creating and managing staff schedules to ensure adequate coverage during peak business hours and events, in coordination with the Bar Manager.
Requirements for the role:
• Previous experience in a bartending or bar supervisory role within the hospitality industry is beneficial.
• Strong knowledge of beverages, including alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with customers, staff, and suppliers.
• Ability to support and motivate a team and contribute to a positive work environment.
• Basic financial understanding to assist with budget management and cost control.
• Familiarity with relevant laws, regulations, and safety standards related to alcohol service is a plus.
• Organizational and time-management abilities to handle multiple tasks and responsibilities.
• Flexibility to work during evenings, weekends, and holidays as required in the hospitality industry.
