Primary Job Purpose:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Breakfast Chef to join our busy kitchen. Working as part of the breakfast service team, the Breakfast Chef is required for early morning starts so candidates must have access to transport. We are looking for candidates with culinary experience, preferably in a similar role, with a positive attitude and commitment to guest satisfaction.
About the role
Roles and Responsibilities:
Undertake duties as set you by the Head Chef or management.
To actively be an integral part of the Kitchen team and operate and participate in the efficient smooth running of the kitchen.
To be responsible for the preparation of breakfast for each day and also preparation for the next day to allow a smooth-running breakfast service each day
Setting up and cleaning down the kitchen after breakfast.
Responsible for checking deliveries and supplies in the absence of senior chefs or as directed.
Ensure the kitchen is kept clean and hygienic at all times.
Ensure all stocks are kept under optimum conditions.
Ensure all dishes are being prepared to the correct recipe and to the correct quantity.
Work and co-operate with other Food and Beverage team members to ensure that foods being served to our customers is to the required standard.
Ensure any anticipated issues are communicated promptly to senior chefs.
Monitor and ensure that the production, preparation and presentation of food are of the highest quality at all times.
Carry out any other duties as required by management.
Maintain high standard of personal appearance and hygiene including wearing and maintaining a clean uniform at all times.
Follow all company policies and procedures outlined in the Employee Handbook including any department specific procedures such as cash handling and credit procedures.
Be aware of and follow all Health and Safety procedures.

Key Skills
Minimum of 2 years working in a kitchen or hospitality, with a good understanding of food preparation.
Demonstrable culinary experience in similar role
Ambitious to learn, grow and develop
Passion for new ideas, with the ability to provide inspiration to new members of the team
Great attention to detail with a high level of reliability
Flexible schedule required
Confident and approachable
Ability to work well as a team or on a sole basis
Able to handle pressure calmly and professionally

What you will need
Required criteria
- NVQ Level 2 or equivalent catering qualification.
- Understanding of food safety practices
- Demonstrable culinary experience in a similar role
- Experience of checking deliveries and ensuring stock stored correctly
Desired criteria
- Knowledge of hotels industry
- Knowledge of commercial kitchen routines
- Willingness to undertake further training
- Level 3 Food safety qualification
- Up to allergen training
