Central Finance Accountant
Roadstone Ltd requires an Accountant to join the Finance team. The person appointed will report to the Finance Manager and will be based at Fortunestown, Tallaght, Dublin 24. This is a hybrid role.
This role will be primarily involved in the finance function for locations within Roadstone Ltd.
Duties and responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
Balance Sheet
Prepare monthly Balance Sheet Checklist and take ownership of the integrity of the balance sheet.
Prepare balance sheet reconciliations on a number of accounts.
Review and sign off balance sheet reconciliations prepared by other team members
Month End & Year End – ensure all balance sheet accounts are properly reconciled and reported. Support the preparation of journal entries and adjustments as necessary.
Fixed Asset and Capital Expenditure
Maintain and update the fixed asset register with accurate details of all fixed assets.
Track additions, disposals and transfers to ensure records are up to date.
Review and update depreciation schedules
Prepare reports and reconciliations related to fixed assets for month-end and year end reporting.
Provide support and documentation during internal and external audits related to fixed assets.
Prepare annual asset impairment workings and annual asset verification workings.
Monitor and validate savings related to capital expenditure projects and weekly reporting of same.
Insurance
Oversight and management of the insurance portfolio
Ad Hoc
Assistance in preparation and review of the annual budgets
Assisting senior management as required through preparation of adhoc reports
Commercial reconciliations & reviews
Monthly stock and derivatives workings.
Ensure SOX Compliance of the finance department
Preparation of month profit bridge for group submission and internal profit bridges for budget & forecasts.
About the role
Key Attributes & Experience :
Qualified accountant with 3 years post qualification industry experience or qualified by experience
Deadline orientated, with the ability to work to multiple tight deadlines
Strong written and communication skills
Good initiative and thorough approach to work
Proficient with MS Word and Excel
Experience with Oracle Financials or similar Accounting packages would be an advantage
