About the role

To be considered for the position of Registered Manager there are some MUST haves:

  • 2 years of experience managing a Children’s Home

  • Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare

  • Experience of running an Ofsted regulated service

  • Experience with Learning Disabilities (LD)

  • A willingness to undertake all necessary onboarding checks to include a DBS

  • Commitment to working in partnership with parents, carers, and other professionals to safeguard and promote the welfare of young people

 

This is an exciting opportunity to support the local community as we are opening a new service in Luton, comprising two properties next to each other: one residential home and one respite/short breaks service. We are very open to ideas on how we can make this work for you.

What you will need

Required criteria

  • Within the last 5 years, worked for at least 2 years in residential care of children.
  • 1 year in a role managing care staff.
  • Level 3 "Working with Children and Young People" qualification or equivalent.
  • Thorough knowledge of Children's Homes Regulations 2015 and safeguarding procedures.

Desired criteria

  • Senior level experience in an outstanding children's home.
  • Experience with high-risk young people with complex needs.
  • Additional relevant qualifications (Dip SW, CQSW, CSS).
  • Previous registration with Ofsted as a Registered Manager.
