Assistant Restaurant Manager
HEALTH AND SAFETY
To be aware of and adhere to all Health, Fire and Safety Procedures and to remain vigilant to possible risks and ensure that anything of a suspicious nature is reported to management.
MISCELLANEOUS
Maintain high level of Standards, Personal Hygiene, Uniform, Appearance and conduct.
To attend all meetings and training courses requested by your Departmental Manager or Human Resources and Quality Officer.
To continuously seek to improve your department’s efficient operation and standards.
To be fully conversant with the sales function within your departments and to take every opportunity to optimise sales.
To assist with observing security measures for the hotel and report anything that may appear suspicious.
To pass on all lost property to the Accommodation Department.
To ensure all maintenance needs are reported to the Maintenance Supervisor / Duty Manager.

Position Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and dynamic Assistant Restaurant Manager to join our team at Loughside Bar and Grill, located within the prestigious Lough Erne Resort. The successful candidate will assist the Management Team in overseeing the Loughside Bar and Grill Restaurant, renowned for its bustling, vibrant atmosphere and elegant surroundings. The role demands a high level of guest care, adherence to company service standards, and the ability to manage and motivate a team effectively.
Scope and General Purpose of the Job
The Assistant Restaurant Manager will ensure all guests are greeted with a friendly welcome and receive the highest standards of guest care and customer satisfaction
Key Responsibilities
- Guest Experience Management
- Ensure all guests receive a warm and friendly welcome.
- Maintain high standards of guest care and customer satisfaction.
- Personalise service to enhance the guest experience.
- Monitor guest feedback and comment cards, identifying key areas for improvement.
- Staff Management and Development
- Supervise and maintain high standards among staff.
- Develop and motivate staff through comprehensive training programs.
- Plan and coordinate staff rosters according to business needs.
- Manage staff attendance and ensure compliance with HR procedures.
- Plan holidays to ensure proper staffing levels are maintained.
- Operational Management
- Oversee the smooth running of the restaurant during shifts, especially in the absence of the Restaurant and Bars Manager.
- Ensure each department is adequately prepared for operations.
- Achieve financial targets and maintain budgetary controls.
- Conduct regular stock takes and ensure accurate recording and reporting of data to the Accounts department.
- Quality and Standards
- Ensure compliance with AA, NITB, and Company service standards.
- Implement and monitor guest care practices.
- Continuously seek ways to improve service standards and operational efficiency.
Criteria
- Minimum of 3 years of service experience in the hospitality industry.
- At least 2 years of supervisory/Management experience.
- Proficient in IT and flexible to undertake shift work.
- Confident and approachable character, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
