We are seeking an experienced Regional Sales Manager to join our team covering East Midlands, North East and East of England. The role would ideally be based out of our depot in Aldridge.

Job Purpose

The purpose of the Regional Sales Manager role is to effectively manage, create, and develop sales activities within a designated region, ensuring the achievement of annual sales targets at agreed margins. This role involves maintaining an awareness of current market trends and funding streams to assist in the creation of an overall sales strategy. By building and nurturing relationships with current and potential clients, the Regional Sales Manager aims to maximise the company's inclusion in frameworks and preferred supplier lists, thus enhancing the potential for repeat business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Achieve Sales Targets: Meet annual sales goals with agreed margins.

  • Build Relationships: Maintain records of current and prospective clients.

  • Collaborate: Work with the Managing Director on promotions and advertising.

  • Report Progress: Provide monthly updates to the Head of Sales.

  • Support Team: Assist the Estimating Department with quotations and variations.

  • Inspect Sites: Conduct site inspections and provide detailed reports.

  • Advise on Tenders: Offer insights on adverse terms/conditions.

  • Order Management: Ensure orders align with our tender/offer.

  • Stay Informed: Keep up to date with industry regulations and competitors.

  • Maintain Confidentiality: Safeguard all company designs, estimates, and pricing.

To be considered for the role of Regional Sales Manager, candidates must meet the following essential criteria:

  • Proven Sales Experience:

  • Demonstrated success in sales roles, particularly within a regional or national capacity within this industry or similar

  • Experience in achieving and exceeding sales targets.

  • Industry Knowledge:

  • Understanding of market trends, funding streams, and the competitive landscape.

  • Familiarity with building regulations, legislation, and relevant building developments.

  • Relationship Building:

  • Strong ability to build and maintain relationships with clients and stakeholders.

  • Proven track record of securing repeat business through excellent client relationships.

  • Strategic Thinking:

  • Ability to develop and implement effective sales strategies.

  • Experience in evaluating enquiries and determining the best systems or solutions to offer.

  • Communication Skills:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Ability to liaise effectively with the Managing Director, Head of Sales, and other team members.

  • Organisational Skills:

  • Strong organizational and record-keeping abilities.

  • Competence in managing multiple clients and projects simultaneously.

  • Reporting and Analysis:

  • Proficiency in providing detailed reports and updates on sales prospects and progress.

  • Ability to analyze market conditions and sales data to inform decision-making.

  • Problem-Solving:

  • Aptitude for identifying and addressing potential issues in sales processes or client relationships.

  • Experience in advising on tender terms and conditions to mitigate risks.

  • Site Inspection Experience:

  • Capability to conduct thorough site inspections and provide accurate reports.

  • Confidentiality and Integrity:

  • Commitment to maintaining the confidentiality of company information and upholding ethical standards.

  • Team Collaboration:

  • Ability to work collaboratively with the Estimating Department, Senior Contracts Manager, and other internal teams.

  • Flexibility:

  • Willingness to undertake additional duties as required and adapt to changing business needs.
