Project Manager
Ventus Energy is a renewable energy business with a growing market share across the sector. We specialise in delivering High Voltage services, with a focus on safety and quality.
The Project Manager will join a talented team of personnel within the Projects Division of Ventus Energy, responsible for delivering cable jointing, termination and high voltage engineering services, including fault location and repair across a range of high voltage infrastructure projects.
The candidate will preferably have previous experience working in an HV electrical or Renewables field. Work may be carried out onshore or offshore, therefore there may be a requirement to go offshore with this position. While predominantly this will be a remote role, there may be the requirement to become site-based for larger scale projects for a period of time.

About the role
Processes:
- Review & analyse electrical and fibre optical test reports
- Demonstrate a robust attitude toward Health and Safety by being able to identify & mitigate any risks that arise, foreseen or unforeseen, and demonstrate Safety Leadership at all times
- Plan activity and equipment/consumables supplies to ensure works continues during HV and FO termination and testing works
- Review and prepare procedures and task plans
- Arrange preparation of equipment in advance of each deployment
- Reinforce the importance of critical project reporting and capturing the required images through the different stages of the installation process. Ensuring that no stages are missed and complete record of the installation is made available for final delivery to client.
- Reporting of incidents and accidents and observations via Ventus Energy reporting system.
- Meeting with line management and clients to identify project requirements, delivery timelines and costs
- Developing detailed project plans to guide clients and project teams and revising based on changing needs and requirements
- Identifying and assigning project tasks based on the skill sets, experience and strengths of team members
- Monitoring project performance to ensure timely delivery
- Compiling and submitting project status reports to clients and line management
- Working effectively with relevant stakeholders for efficient project implementation
- Liaise effectively with all project stakeholders
Customers:
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients and ensure that the highest quality service is delivered
- Ensure any customer complaints are dealt with effectively or escalated in a timely manner
Financials:
- Operating with a proactive approach to identify possible contract variations and/or new opportunities for additional services
- Management and minimising of costs through efficient planning and cost comparisons (e.g., equipment purchase, travel costs etc.)
Employees:
- Ensure all employees feel valued through positive engagement where their opinions are listened to and considered
- Identify skill gaps and facilitate appropriate training where appropriate
- Provide guidance to direct reports and monitor their performance
Primary Targets & KPIs:
- Support Company in achieving stated KPIs
- Safety & quality reporting – Support reporting processes by regularly identifying opportunities for improvement, and ensuring near misses, safety observations etc. are reported.

- Strong verbal and written communications
- Experience of managing and leading project teams to successful outcomes
