Position: Mobile Service Engineer

We are looking for a talented individual to join our dynamic Hire Team. As a Mobile Service Engineer, you will play a crucial role in maintaining our range of units and attending customer sites to diagnose and repair faults.

About the role

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and service our fleet of cabin, modular, and welfare units mechanically and electrically.

  • Perform plumbing tasks in canteens and toilet blocks.

  • Carry out joinery work, including replacing wall and ceiling boards, fitting and easing internal doors, and constructing partition walls.

  • Replace door handles and perform roof repairs.

  • Assist in on-site installation and dismantling of units, including erecting or dismantling staircases and link units.

  • Complete necessary paperwork and advise customers if call-outs are chargeable (training provided).

Requirements

  • Proven experience in a similar role, preferably in the modular buildings or site accommodation industry.

  • Strong diagnostic and repair skills in 12V electrical systems, mechanics, plumbing, and joinery work.

  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.

  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.

  • A valid UK driving license.

  • CSCS card (required). Other relevant qualifications or strengths are a bonus.

  • Experience in site accommodation hire, installation, and maintenance is highly beneficial.

  • Adaptable, organized, and capable of handling multiple visits per day with a "fix it first time" approach.

This is a client-facing role, so a helpful and professional demeanor is essential. The position suits an all-rounder who can tackle a variety of tasks and provide excellent customer service.
