JOB DESCRIPTION
Job Title: Head of Human Resources & People Development (Maternity Contract) Location: Macklin Group Head Office, 26 Wellington Park, Belfast / Option of hybrid working Reports to: Operations Director Travel: As required dependent on business needs.

About the role
Duties and Responsibilities:
Organisation Development - Develop and implement the HR strategy for the Macklin Group in order to support the delivery of key business objectives and take forward the effective management and integration of change and organisational development.
HR Systems - Formulate HR systems and strategies appropriate to the Company’s corporate mission and goals. Ensure policy documentation in line with HR legislation
HR service delivery - Develop, drive and deliver the HR roadmaps and KPI’s. Manage the HR team to deliver a quality and customer focused HR service; be responsible for producing an annual work programme & budgets for the department and for reporting on progress and expenditure.
Recruitment & Development - Develop and oversee an effective recruitment and development programme to meet the needs of the business and deliver a high performance culture and ongoing development of employees.
Performance Management & Improvement culture - Develop and oversee performance management processes to support talent management and a high performing culture at an individual and organisational level.
Reward and Recognition - Develop and implement an effective reward and recognition strategy to support the strategic objectives of the Macklin Group and to motivate staff.
The nature of the job will change as the needs of The Macklin Group develop. This will require a considerable degree of commitment, flexibility and adaptability of the successful candidate to meet quality standards and work deadlines.

What you will need
Required criteria
- Chartered CIPD Membership
- Degree level qualification
- Significant experience operating at a senior HR level within a fast-paced organisation of similar or greater size and scale
- Demonstrable experience of strategic HR management, leading and delivering organisational change initiatives and making commercially focused decisions
- Experience of building, leading, motivating and managing a team of staff to provide an effective strategic and operational HR function
- Sound working knowledge of employment legislation within Northern Ireland
- Proven track record of working with a diverse range of stakeholders and developing effective relationships.
- Possess a current driving licence and the use of a vehicle for business use or have access to a form of transport that will permit them to meet the requirements of the post
