Customer Service Assistant

Full time  |  Permanent  |  Salary: £20k to £23k depending on experience

Francis Dinsmore Limited, (part of Dinsmore group) a well-established Textile company, who is a leading dyer and finisher of natural and synthetic fabrics for both the domestic and export markets.

 We are looking for professional individual to join our customer services team providing friendly assistance to our customers with orders and queries over the phone. Therefore, the successful candidate/s will need to be proactive, friendly, flexible, and willing to ‘go that little bit extra’ for our customers.

Hours of work – Monday to Thursday 8.30am to 5.30pm and Friday 8.30am to 1.00pm

About the role

Assisting the Production team with orders the successful applicant must have excellent communication skills and looking after customer visits.

  • The job role includes dealing with various customer enquiries via email/telephone.

  • Input customer orders on MIS system.

  • Manage and organize Loomstate collections/deliveries (including TSS portal).

  • Weekly/monthly Customer reports.

  • Day to day tasks within office e.g., answer switchboard phone, filing.

  • Sampling to customers where required.

  • Produce customer Certs/COC’s where required.

What you will need

Required criteria

  • Minimum of 4 GCSE Maths and English at grade ‘C’ or above, or equivalent.
  • A good telephone manner and strong communication skills required as client liaison is critical to this role. Must be able to deal with incoming call regarding customer orders and queries.
  • Computer literate with a proven working knowledge of Microsoft packages.
  • The ability to work to defined timeframes and multitask.
  • Must be able to work under own initiative as well as part of the team
  • Must be motivated and organized
  • Ability to work flexible hours to ensure business needs are met.

Desired criteria

  • Minimum of 1 year’s customer service with administration experience.
  • Knowledge of Processing Customer Sales orders.
  • Knowledge of MIS (Management information systems)
  • Previous Textile experience would be advantages but not essential.
