Job Title:                                Country Club Manager      

Responsible to:                    General Manager / Directors 

RESPONSIBLE FOR

People – Management team and staff team. You ensure employees are trained and supported, using their natural talents to deliver beyond expectations. You instil and sustain a culture of excellence with appropriate levels of informality and fun, providing leadership, motivation and development, taking into account employee welfare.

Presentation and standards –  The Leisure Club must always be prepared and ready for service according to agreed brand guidelines. Operational standards to be the best they can possibly be regarding service, hygiene, health & safety and the team’s presentation and uniform standards. Quality is important at all levels.

A Great Customer Experience – Successful day to day operations within the club ensures expectations are met and where possible exceeded. You cater for all and ensure that our people, products and service are memorable as we build our reputation as the leading Country Club through the delivery of real results.

Product knowledge – You support the Senior Management Team (SMT) in the recruitment process and motivate and challenge a talented team. Ensure the team have the product knowledge to please our Country Club members and guests, not just in relation to the Country Club but the whole La Mon package.

Communications – With your team on a daily basis, other hotel departments and guests / leisure club members, so that everyone knows what our offering is and is encouraged to try it and return for more. Inform members and guests of necessary information and communicate effectively.

Country Club Performance – You are responsible for achieving the budgeted revenue and profit for your department. Further, add value to overall hotel performance through teamwork.

Accountable for

Results – Sustain a working environment that supports the company’s objective of consistently delivering excellent standards of service and meeting and exceeding customer expectations. Operate cost control measures without compromising quality of service.

Quality – The department operates at optimum efficiency with required number of trained staff to meet business needs and exceeds statutory requirements in respect of health & safety standards.

Sales & Marketing – Work closely with our sales and marketing team while ensuring that the Country Club Brand exceeds our 4 star standard while ensuring that current markets are properly maintained and identify new opportunities to build upon.

Great Service – Assist members and prospective members in a friendly, courteous and professional manner. Member and guest satisfaction should be monitored using reflective feedback (ad hoc and using external benchmarking tools).

Leadership – Provide vision, motivate and evaluate individuals and teams. Role model our standards relentlessly. Your enthusiasm is infectious and catching!

Management and development of talented people – Support in the recruitment, induction and training individuals. Assist in the day to day rotas, coaching & performance reviews, developing individuals to excel in their own role and have potential for career progression within La Mon Hotel and Country Club. Communicate focus areas, targets, and updates.

Financial performance – Deliver the clubs targets and ensure sales standards are adhered to.

Statutory compliance – Deliver training, including all Leisure Club related Health & Safety obligations and other relevant legislation.

Health & Safety – To implement all Company policies & procedures as devised by senior Management.
