EV Master Technician

Job Purpose

 To support the development of a new business line, we are looking for an experienced EV Master Technician with a desire to help lead, grow, and expand the In N Out Autocentres EV offering across the region.

We are looking for a self-starter that will be field based and able to support and provide expertise to our existing Autocentres initially across the M3/M4 corridor.  In addition to supporting our existing Autocentres we are also looking for an individual that would spearhead and help develop our new mobile EV service and repair offering.

We are looking for an individual with strong interpersonal skills who loves what they do and is comfortable talking with and helping our customers directly either in the field or in existing Autocentres whilst promoting both the standards of IN ’n’ OUT Autocentres Ltd and satisfying the needs of the customer. Likewise, all servicing and repairs are to be undertaken to the highest standard and within a timely fashion.

Whilst field based you will also be expected to work as part of the Autocentres service team from time to time ensuring appropriate support is provided to the service and repair teams, thus ensuring both customer satisfaction is achieved, and multifunctional working/support is provided.

EV Technician Responsibilities:

  • To service all makes and models of EV and HV to a high standard efficiently

  • To competently undertake any necessary fast fit repair as directed or required.

  • To communicate regularly with feedback to the leadership team and local centre management ensuring deadlines are met and customers are satisfied.

  • To be directly involved in the pricing of repairs and vehicle service requirements working with the leadership team and communicating such information to the customer.

  • To thoroughly quality check all work undertaken and seek advice/support when required.

  • To work in a safe and clean environment & to be always responsible for H&S

  • Comfortable working in all weather conditions at customers location

  • Where necessary to support and contribute to service crew duties and/or any other area of the centre

  • To support other technicians across the wider business with EV / Technical issues.

                                                                                     

Development:

  • Training where required to be provided by the company to the highest level.

  • Must have a desire to undertake further training.

  • Comfortable raising suggestion and voicing opinions to senior management team

  • Where required, comfortable assisting in building and developing the EV team in the business.

 

General

  • Ability to manage own time and bookings to ensure maximum efficiency.

  • Comfortably working remotely and alone

  • Ability to identify customer service and repair needs and explain pricing and processes when appropriate to do so.

  • To carry out any other reasonable tasks as requested

  • Comfortable being the initial go to EV expert in the business.

  • May require travel outside of normal working hours.
