Primary Job Purpose:

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Conference and Events Supervisor to join our Food and Beverage (F&B) team.  The successful applicant will provide an excellent guest experience through exceptional service hosting conferences, weddings and events, whilst maintaining a high standard and achieving maximum revenue and guest satisfaction.

About the role

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Provide a superior guest experience for all conference delegates and events guests whether it be for dinner, a wedding or gathering.

  • Oversee and maintain conference facilities, including our state-of-the-art conference rooms.

  • Ensure staff are visible and available to guests at all times, throughout conferences and events.

  • Maintain stock levels for both catering and conference equipment.

  • Maintenance and monitoring of hygiene standards and practices.

  • Coordinate the preparation for service, including organisation of staff sections.

  • Check layout and preparation for conferences and events.

  • Maximise service opportunities for guests to ensure return visits.

What you will need

Required criteria

  • GCSE English grade C /4 or above
  • GCSE Maths grade C/4 or above
  • Experience working in hospitality or events
  • Experience of working to service delivery standards
  • Customer-service experience.
  • Experience of dealing with Customer complaints
  • Experience of working in public relations, preferably in the hospitality or travel industries
  • Experience of managing a team
  • Knowledge of correct and effective recruitment practices

Desired criteria

  • Willingness to undertake further training.
  • Microsoft Excel Intermediate level
  • Experience of coaching and mentoring
  • Knowledge of Fourth Hospitality System
