Concrete Technologist
Applications are invited for the position of Concrete Technologist as part of the Concrete Technical Team based full-time in the company headquarters in Belgard, Dublin. The successful candidate will report to the Concrete Technical Manager.
About the role
The candidate will have the following specific responsibilities:
Awareness & implementation of company health and safety policy including the promotion of a number of company initiatives.
Provide technical information as required to customers including mix certificates and technical data sheets.
Engage with customers and industry bodies in the promotion of concrete by providing CPDs and site demonstrations.
Provide support in the investigation of customer complaints.
Carry out research and development of concrete mixes in a laboratory-based environment to develop new and sustainable concrete solutions.
Provide training to production and commercial teams on product performance, production protocols and plant capabilities on special concrete mix production.
Active engagement with production staff to improve production procedures and product quality and reduce the potential for non-conformities.
Provide technical support to regional quality control teams.
Monitor and report on quality and conformity matters.
Review performance data to ensure compliance with standards and specifications.
Candidates should ideally possess:
Engineering qualification or relevant 3rd level qualification.
Full clean drivers licence essential for the role.
Interest in researching sustainable solutions.
Experience with or interest in the fundamentals of concrete mix design would be advantageous.
Knowledge/experience of the construction industry/ building materials.
Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office and other specialist software tools.
Ability to be a Team player with an ability to work on own initiative.
Excellent communication, written skills and attention to detail.
Be self-driven with desire to show flexibility as required.
