General Operative
Applications are invited for the position of General Operative at Belgard Block Plant, Tallaght, Dublin. The person appointed will report to the Belgard Block Plant Manager.
About the role
Key areas of responsibility include but are not limited to:
· Driving forklift in a safe and efficient manner.
· Loading of customer and company vehicles in a safe and a timely fashion.
· Safely unloading bales of blocks from production lines and safely stacking them.
· Operating and monitoring block manufacturing process plant as instructed.
· Actively involved in maintaining good housekeeping around the production process plant.
· Carry out daily inspection of the assigned vehicle(s) and manufacturing plant to ensure it is maintained in a good working condition.
· Complying with all health and safety requirements.
The following knowledge, skills, competencies are required for this role:
· Team player with an ability to work on own and to take initiative.
· Trustworthy.
· Strong organisational skills.
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with employees and customers visiting the site.
· Experience in operating machinery such as forklift or teleporter.
· An ability to operate to strict timelines/deadlines.
