Digger Driver

You will be part of a two man team that covers a wide range of works for our client Northern Ireland Water 

Driving a digger on public areas or within the confines of a building site where necessary

Required to help with labouring tasks

The ability to work efficiently and to deadlines, whilst maintaining a high level of workmanship

Willing to work flexible hours and cover emergency work where needed

Working within Health & Safety guidelines as set out by the Company

A professional attitude is expected at all times as the role is working in public areas and on some occasions you will be required to work within a customer's property

This is a very busy working environment and we offer ongoing paid overtime (both weekend work and out of hours)

About the role

The use of plant machinery (diggers), standard construction hand and power tools and equipment.

Learn and perform a variety of construction, maintenance and repair work on water and wastewater facilities.

Onsite and in house training will be provided

What you will need

Required criteria

  • Experience working in utilities
  • Willing to work flexible hours and cover on call emergency work
  • Hold a valid digger ticket

Desired criteria

  • Experience working with clean water
  • Experience working with sewers
  • Hold a class 1 or C1E licence
  • Hold a valid Streetworks card
