Due to a significant period of growth, our Pre-Construction team is expanding!
Reporting to the Head of Estimating, the Logikal Glazing Estimator will assist the tender process by producing accurate costs for façade glazing elements. They will be responsible for ensuring glazing enquiries are returned accurately and in a timely manner to other members of the Pre-Construction team.
About the role
Role Summary
Quantity take-offs from architectural drawings.
Processing glazing, window, & curtain walling products through the software in a timely manner
Analysis and estimation of value engineering opportunities to ensure bids are competitive.
Working closely with other members of the Pre-Construction team to ensure support is provided.
Liaison with inhouse experts to understand where additional benefits can be gained.
Follow up and negotiation of supplier enquiries & quotations.
Completion of tender checklists.
Other duties as may be reasonably required commensurate with the jobholder’s level in the company.

What you will need
Required criteria
- • Minimum of 5 GCSEs (or equivalent) to include English and Maths
- • High level of IT literacy, especially in Microsoft Packages (Word, Excel and Outlook).
- • Ability to pick up new IT systems quickly.
- • Excellent prioritisation and organisational skills
- • High level of attention to detail
- • Flexible and adaptable approach to work
- • Motivated team player and ability to take initiative.
Desired criteria
- • HNC level qualification or above, preferably in construction or engineering related subject.
- • Pricing experience using LogiKal, SchueCal, K-Pro or equivalent software.
- • Previous experience in the windows and door industry would be advantageous.
- • Technical knowledge of Glazing systems (Metal Technology, Aluprof, Schueco).
