2. WHAT IS THIS NOTICE?
In order to provide our Services we will need to process Personal Data from time to time (that is information from which an individual can be identified). To the extent that we hold this data as a Controller (meaning we make decisions about what data to collect and its use), we are required to provide anyone who can be identified from that data (Data Subjects) with a notice explaining how we use Personal Data about them.
In the provision of our Services, we will collect and hold data about individuals who sign up to use SeeMeHired (our Users). Our Users will be either:
(i) Candidates – any individuals who access SeeMeHired for the purpose of seeking job vacancies; or
(ii) Authorised Users– individuals permitted to use SeeMeHired on behalf of Employers.
The purpose of SeeMeHired is to connect Candidates and Employers. This Privacy Notice is intended to explain to our Users how we use any Personal Data which we collect about them. Our Users are not bound by this notice. Candidates should always read an Employer’s privacy notice before deciding to send or make available any personal data to any Employer. For more information on when this might happen, please see paragraph 5 below.
We might need to change this Privacy Notice from time to time. If we do, we will let you know. So please do keep an eye on our notice before sending us any Personal Data or uploading it on to SeeMeHired.
If you have any questions about this Privacy Notice or how we handle your data, you can contact us at support@seemehired.com or by sending us a letter to our registered address (see paragraph 1 above).
3. WHAT INFORMATION DO WE COLLECT ABOUT USERS AND WHERE DO WE GET IT FROM?
We will collect information about Users in the following ways:

For more information, please have a look at our Cookies Policy which can be accessed here [RKA1] .
4. HOW WE USE THE PERSONAL DATA WE COLLECT (AND OUR LAWFUL BASIS FOR DOING SO)
We are required to have a lawful basis for our various processing activities of Personal Data which we carry out as a Controller. We’ve set this out below:
(i) To provide you with our Services . This may include collecting and storing your User Account details and SeeMe Profile. Any such use will either be strictly to the extent necessary to take steps to enter into or to perform our contract for services with you.
(ii) To notify Candidates (whether by email, text and/or push notifications) about job vacancies which we think they might be interested in. We do this by looking at the criteria a Candidate includes in their SeeMe Profile and applying an algorithm which seeks job vacancies that match some or all of those criteria. We will only provide you with this service if you have consented to it. You may remove your consent at any time and this will not affect your ability to access and use SeeMeHired.
(iii) For administration and dispute resolution purposes. This may include dealing with your inquiries and requests; retaining archived data in order to meet legal, regulatory and compliance requirements; monitoring your use of our Services to ensure that it is in accordance with our Terms of Use. If we believe your use of SeeMeHired isn’t compliant with our Terms of Use we may use the data as evidence in making a legal claim. Any such processing will only be to the extent necessary to protect our legitimate interests of running an efficient and effective business.
(iv) To try to make sure that the Service we are providing you with is as good as we can make it. This may include using features in SeeMeHired which enable us to personalise our Service for you and notifying you about changes to our Service. Any such processing will only be to the extent necessary to protect our legitimate interests of running an efficient and effective business.
(v) We may use the contact details you provide us with to send you marketing literature. We will only do this if we have first obtained your consent . You may withdraw your consent at any time and this will not affect your ability to use our Services.
(vi) We may also use the data you upload on to SeeMeHired for analytics and research purposes for our own business purposes. For example, this might include helping us to collect aggregate data about skill sets, demographics and any other factors relating to job markets. Any such data collected will be aggregate and will not include Personal Data.
The purpose of SeeMeHired is to connect Candidates and Employers. Any decision to send an Application to an Employer or make a SeeMe Profile available to an Employer is the Candidate’s. We will never send a Candidate’s Personal Data to an Employer unless they have instructed us to do so. It is up to each Candidate to decide if they want their SeeMe Profile to be accessible to Employers. For more details on this, please see paragraph 5 below.
5. CAN OTHER USERS SEE A SEEME PROFILE?
SeeMe Profiles are not accessible to other Users unless a Candidate wants them to be. A SeeMe Profile can become accessible to other Users in the following instances:
(i) If a Candidate makes an Application for a job vacancy, the relevant Employer will be able to see both the Application and the SeeMe Profile.
(ii) If a Candidate selects the ‘Headhunt Me’ status in their ‘Your Privacy Settings’, their SeeMe Profile will be accessible in full by any Employer who is advertising a vacancy which matches some or all of the criteria a Candidate has selected.
6. WHO IS RESPONSIBLE FOR CANDIDATE INFORMATION ONCE IT HAS BEEN TRANSFERRED TO AN EMPLOYER?
If a Candidate decides to make their SeeMe Profile available to an Employer or to submit an Application to an Employer, the Employer will be responsible for how it uses such information. This means that the Employer is the Controller in respect of its use of such information. Employers are not bound by the terms of this Privacy Notice.
We provide certain services to Employers including holding Applications on their behalf. We also provide Employers with a tool to help them sift through any SeeMe Profiles which have been submitted for a particular job vacancy or which a Candidate has otherwise agreed to make available to Employers. We do this by comparing the skills they have asked for in their job vacancy with the skills which a Candidate includes in their SeeMe Profile. By using an algorithm, we are able to give each SeeMe Profile a percentage match-rate. The criteria to be applied is designated entirely by the Employer and what relevance they attach to the resulting percentage is completely at the discretion of the Employer. (SeeMeHired does not include any automated decision-making function.)
We hold and use this information on behalf of the relevant Employer. This means that in respect of any such transferred data, the Employer is acting as the Controller and we are acting as their processor.
If you have any questions or concerns about how an Employer is using data relating to you, you must contact the Employer directly.
7. WHAT SECURITY MEASURES DO WE HAVE IN PLACE?
It is our policy to ensure that all Personal Data held by us is handled correctly and appropriately according to the nature of the information, the risk associated with mishandling the data, including the damage that could be caused to an individual as a result of loss, corruption and/or accidental disclosure of any such data, and in accordance with any applicable legal requirements.
