Supply Chain / Procurement Manager
As the Supply Chain Manager, you will be responsible for developing and executing our strategic and operational Supply Chain strategy. The role will ensure timely and accurate completion of all procurement planning and proposal activities, working closely with key purchasing departments to deliver operational excellence and ensure achievement of business objectives to support cost, quality and material flow objectives. This role involves developing and implementing procurement strategies, optimising supplier partnerships, and ensuring compliance with company policies and industry regulations.

About the role
Duties will include:
Ā· Develop the companies overarching procurement strategy, manage the end-to-end procurement cycle and align to the businessās objectives.
Ā· Manage collaborative supplier relationships and drive renegotiations to secure the best deals and rebate agreements.
Ā· Managing the Supplier relationship management process with strategic and mission critical suppliers.
Ā· Responsible for leading supplier evaluation, selection, and management activities.
Ā· Supporting the Financial Controller with cost management and controls and assisting with the budgeting and reporting process.
Ā· Driving supplier performance management and delivering continual improvement.
Ā· Liaising with key company employees to determine their product/service requirements.
Ā· Tracking supplier delivery targets, minimum order quantity, quality and pricing.
Ā· Manage contract renewals, prices and negotiate with a range of suppliers.
Ā· To deliver, maintain and develop critical procurement key performance indicators and reports to the internal business teams in a timely and accurate manner.
Ā· Responsible for benchmarking and market analysis to aid sourcing decisions.
Ā· Work along with Production Planning and Stores to accurately manage stock availability across the business.
Ā· Maintaining and tracking of all inventory materials in all stock locations ā conducting regular inventory reconciliations, investigating variances with warehouse, or suppliers, and flagging internally.
Ā· Work closely with the new product development team to have full understanding of planned launches, product/packaging/formula changes to consider when planning future demand.
Ā· Creating policies and procedures for risk management and mitigation.
Ā· Ensure continuing compliance with legal, corporate and business unit policies, procedures, and regulations.
Ā· Carry out tasks as required and deemed within your competence by your manager.
What you will need
Required criteria
- Degree in a supply chain management, business, or related field.
- Minimum of 5 years working in a fast-paced supply chain and logistics role.
- Experience of using MRP/ERP Systems.
- Proven progressive experience in planning, purchasing, and inventory control within a manufacturing environment.
- Research skills.
- Negotiation and influencing skills.
- Strategic thinking.
- Strong financial analysis / Proficient in analytics / Data driven decisions.
- Excellent commercial, contractual and legal acumen in relation to Procurement activities.
- Risk management.
- Problem solving (thinking outside of the box).

- Exceptional communication skills with the ability to foster strong supplier relationships.
- Continuous improvement mindset.
- Strong organisational skills, attention to detail and an ability to prioritise and manage a high volume of tasks and deadlines under pressure.

- Ability to work autonomously/independently with support when needed.
- MS Office experience, in particular advanced level of Microsoft Excel.
- Advanced reporting & presentation skills.
Desired criteria
- CIPS (Chartered Instit. of Procurement & Supply), CPSM (Institute for Supply Management) or equivalent procurement certifications.
- Dealing with UK and European suppliers and procurement markets.
- Microsoft Navision ERP knowledge.
- Full and clean driving licence.
