Reports To: Human Resource Manager
Location: Head Office, Tobermore
Job Summary:
To provide support across the full range of HR activities in a busy People Team, gaining practical experience in recruitment and selection, onboarding, employee relations and generalist HR administration.

As a HR Placement student in Tobermore, you will gain experience in a variety of generalist HR disciplines. You will be involved in HR Generalist tasks which will aid the provision of an effective and efficient HR Service.

About the role
Responsibilities:
The following list constitutes the key tasks and duties of your post upon which your job performance will be assessed. Tasks are not in any particular order, therefore the sequence which they appear should not be interpreted as indicating priority or relative importance.
Duties will include:
Provide generalist administration support for key activities within the HR function such as recruitment & selection, system administration, onboarding, employee records, absence management and general HR queries.
Provide HR advisory support promoting company policies in line with relevant employment law.
Support end-to-end recruitment to provide an exceptional candidate experience.
Deliver the HR onboarding process for new starts.
Generate data for departmental KPI reporting.
To assist the HR team in maintain positive internal and external relationships with both employees and members of the Tobermore Leaders for Growth.
Contribute to HR projects including lean and continuous improvement initiatives.
Participate in team meetings.
Act in a confidential and trustworthy manner at all times promoting Tobermore HEART values.
Any other duties or tasks as required and as deemed within your competence.

What you will need
Required criteria
- Currently studying an HRM/Business related degree that allows for a placement year commencing the following academic year
- • Strong organisational skills • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion • Interest in employment law, HR best practice, and manufacturing operations
- • Proactive, eager to learn, and adaptable in a fast paced environment • Demonstrate the Company values
- Eligibility to work in the UK
Desired criteria
- Working towards a HRM related specialism/degree
- Previous HR/generalist administration experience.
- Experience using a computerised HR system
- Full UK driving licence
