Job Purpose

This permanent, office-based position is within our design/technical/estimating office, where the successful candidate will play a key role in all aspects of design and estimating within a fast-paced, busy construction office. You will need to be comfortable using AutoCAD for creating technical fabrication drawings, and a strong numerical ability, coupled with good interpersonal skills and a willingness to learn new techniques.

Experience with Revit is desirable, but not essential.

About the role

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Designing and drafting layouts, fabrication drawings, foundation plans, and elevations for modular projects.

  • Estimating costs for projects.

  • Keeping up-to-date with technical information and building regulations related to refurbished modular buildings.

  • Assisting with fresh enquiries and ongoing projects, including design changes and revisions.

  • Collaborating with sales, factory production, project control, site managers, and clients as needed.

  • Ensuring all sales quotations and working drawings are updated, with accurate pricing and technical information.

Who We’re Looking For:

  • A creative mindset with strong technical skills.

  • The ability to work well under pressure in a busy office environment.

  • Excellent time management and organisational skills.

  • A strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office and AutoCAD.

  • Excellent customer service skills and good interpersonal communication.

  • Experience in the modular accommodation industry in a similar role.
