Walsh Waste & Recycling is seeking an experienced and professional HGV Artic Truck Driver to join our growing operations team.
Based primarily at the Bellanaboy Gas Terminal (BBGT) in Glenamoy, Co. Mayo, you will play a critical role in the safe transport of waste, recycling and bulk liquid waste materials between transfer stations, treatment facilities, landfill sites and customer locations. This role offers a mix of driving, site operations and teamwork within a safety-focused and highly respected waste management business.
There may be occasional requirements to support operations throughout Mayo and Galway as well as from our main depot in Oranmore, Co. Galway.
About this role
Safely operate articulated vehicles for the transport of bulk liquid waste, waste materials and recyclables.
Ensure all transport activities are conducted in compliance with waste transport legislation, company procedures and customer site requirements.
Complete daily vehicle inspections and promptly report any defects or maintenance requirements.
Maintain accurate transport documentation, logs and regulatory paperwork.
Work closely with dispatch, site teams and operational management to ensure efficient routing and service delivery.
Adhere to the highest standards of health, safety, environmental and operational compliance.
Support site operations at BBGT, including general site duties and the operation of other company vehicles when driving work is unavailable.
Requirements:
Valid CE (Class 1) driving licence with CPC and Digi Card
ADR license is an advantage but not essential
Minimum 2 years’ experience driving articulated vehicles
