Restaurant Manager
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced restaurant manager to be part of an exciting hotel and restaurant rebrand – a perfect opportunity to put your own creative stamp on service delivery in a 4 star boutique hotel restaurant.
We are looking for a hardworking, driven individual with a passion for food, beverage and amazing customer service!
Whilst your focus will be predominantly on the restaurant dinner operation initially, your responsibility as manager will be over the whole restaurant operation which includes breakfast, Sunday lunch and occasional restaurant events.
About the role
An overview of your duties:
· Strategic planning for the restaurant, working closely with sales and marketing to maximise covers and ensuring staff are highly trained and motivated to deliver consistent service excellence
· Along with the kitchen team, plan and co-ordinate menus on a seasonal basis
· Ensure all staff have excellent product knowledge
· Inspire and motivate your team and encourage their ongoing development
· Work with senior management to set targets
· Respond to customer queries and complaints in a timely manner
· Assist with departmental recruitment, inductions and HR related issues when necessary
· Build excellent relationships with your customers, encouraging them to return time and time again
· Check stock levels, organize purchasing of stock, and ensure it is stored and maintained
· Ensure a high level of cleanliness throughout the restaurant
What you will need
Required criteria
- An excellent level of written and spoken English
- An understanding of profit and loss, purchasing and driving sales
- Impeccable customer service, problem solving and communication skills
- A genuine passion for great food, drink and service
- At least 2 years’ experience as a restaurant manager
Desired criteria
- Experience of a hotel environment would be beneficial but not essential
