Bar/Beverage Manager for 5 Star Hotel Lounge

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, inspire and develop the Lounge team to consistently deliver exceptional guest service.

• Take overall responsibility for the day-to-day operation of the Lounge, ensuring smooth and efficient service.

• Create a warm, welcoming atmosphere that reflects The Fitzwilliam's luxury hospitality standards.

• Drive guest satisfaction by ensuring every guest experience is memorable and personalised.

• Recruit, train, coach and mentor team members, fostering a positive and high-performing team culture.

• Prepare team rosters in line with business levels and labour budgets.

• Manage inventory, stock control, ordering and supplier relationships to ensure effective cost management.

• Monitor sales performance and identify opportunities to increase revenue and enhance the guest experience.

• Work closely with the Kitchen and wider Food & Beverage teams to deliver a seamless operation.

• Ensure all health, safety, hygiene and licensing regulations are adhered to at all times.

• Handle guest feedback professionally and proactively resolve any issues.

• Support the development and implementation of new beverage offerings, seasonal promotions and service initiatives.

• Maintain the highest standards of presentation, cleanliness and service throughout the Lounge.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have

• Has previous experience as a Bar Manager, Lounge Manager or Assistant in a quality hotel, restaurant or hospitality venue.

• Is a natural leader who inspires, motivates and develops teams.

• Has a genuine passion for hospitality and creating exceptional guest experiences.

• Possesses strong wine, cocktail and premium beverage knowledge.

• Demonstrates excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Is highly organised with strong attention to detail.

• Has experience managing stock, labour costs and departmental budgets.

• Thrives in a fast-paced environment and remains calm under pressure.

• Leads by example and takes a hands-on approach to service.
