Title: Management Accountant
Reporting to: Chief Financial Officer (CFO)
Location: Hybrid Working (Office Based 2 - 3 Days)
Contract: Full-Time, Permanent
Probation: 6-Months
Annual Leave: 22 Days per Annum
Hours: 40 Hours/Week
Salary: Up to €65,000 p/a depending on previous verified experience.

Job Purpose:
Odyssey Social Care (OSC) is a leading provider of residential care for young people, committed to fostering an environment of support and continuous growth. We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Management Accountant to join our finance team. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting strategic business decisions by delivering accurate financial reports, financial planning, KPI analysis, ensuring quality of financial recording and implementing new financial systems to enhance financial operations. The Management Account will be working collaboratively with Finance Mangers at Odyssey and Finance Teams across the Broadlake Group of Organisations.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
· Timely preparation of monthly management reports.
· Assist in preparation of budgets and forecasts in collaboration with department heads.
· Analyse financial performance and provide insights to support strategic planning.
· Ensure compliance with accounting standards, regulatory requirements, company polices and internal controls.
· Assist in the preparation of year-end financial statements and liaise with external auditors.
· Collaborate with finance team to support and develop financial operations and accuracy.
· Ensure the maintaining of robust financial procedures and controls.
· Lead the implementation of new financial systems, integration and training for relevant staff.
· Support the CFO and department heads in ad-hoc financial projects and initiatives.
Qualifications and Experience:
· Professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CIMA).
· Minimum of 3 years of experience in a Management Accounting role with proven experience in financial reporting, planning and analysis.
· Experience in Residential Care or Social Services sector is an advantage.
· Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
· Proficiency in accounting software (e.g. Sage, Zahara) and advanced Excel skills.
· Experience implementing new financial systems is favourable.
· Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
· Proactive, detail-oriented, and able to meet deadlines under pressure.
· Full clean driver’s licence
