We are currently looking for an enthusiastic, customer-focused Parts Advisor to join our successful Aftersales Team at Mervyn Stewart Belfast.
This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and wants to build a rewarding career within the motor industry. As a Parts Advisor, you will play a vital role in the efficient operation of our Parts Department, supporting both our workshop and retail customers while helping to drive department performance and customer satisfaction.

Strong communication, teamwork, and attention to detail are essential in this role. You will work closely with technicians, suppliers, and customers, building trusted relationships while ensuring the right parts are available at the right time.

Key Responsibilities
Deliver exceptional customer service in a professional, courteous, and knowledgeable manner.
Ensure all customer transactions are completed accurately and in line with company policies and procedures.
Provide a trusted and efficient service that enhances the customer experience and encourages repeat business.
Process goods inwards, receipt stock accurately, and issue parts efficiently to workshop jobs.
Accurately identify, source, and price parts using manufacturer systems and electronic vehicle health checks.
Support workshop productivity by ensuring technicians receive required parts promptly and efficiently.
Order parts quickly and cost-effectively, balancing customer needs with business efficiency.
Manage the return of warranty parts in accordance with manufacturer guidelines.
Ensure all parts are stored, labelled, and located correctly to manufacturer and company standards.
Verify all deliveries against orders, recording discrepancies and ensuring stock is correctly allocated and stored.
Contribute to the achievement of departmental objectives, sales targets, and customer satisfaction goals.

What you will need
Required criteria
- Good Interpersonal and communication skills.
- A full valid UK driving licence also required
- Ability to work to deadlines
- Ability to work as a member of a team as well as on own initiative
- IT literate
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in a busy franchised parts dept. essential
- Must have a customer-focused approach.
- Must be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Must possess strong attention to detail.
Desired criteria
- Minimum of 5 GCSE’s grade C or above including Maths, ITC and English preferable
- Previous experience within the relevant franchise Motor Trade preferable but not essential
- Enthusiasm for the role.
- Interest in building a career within the motor industry.
- Ability to build trusted relationships with technicians, suppliers, and customers.
- Ability to ensure the right parts are available at the right time.
