Mervyn Stewart are a thriving and exciting company with a track record of success and growth. We are constantly growing our business and therefore we have an exciting opportunity for a Parts Advisor to join our AfterSales Team in Mervyn Stewart Belfast.
As a Parts Advisor you will help ensure the efficient running of the Parts Department with reference to trade, workshop sales and goods inwards. You will also be building and maintaining strong and lasting relationships with our customers whilst also working to achieve sales targets for the department. This is a role for a talented, enthusiastic individual keen to develop their skills within the motor industry.
In every aspect of our retailers, the aim is always to exceed customer expectation and so customer care is of paramount importance. Within this role you will be helping lead from the front to ensure that our customers receive the best possible experience.
Communication is key within our dealership, not only to ensure an exceptional customer experience but to build solid working relationships with suppliers, customers, and colleagues.
About this role
Key Responsibilities
To serve the customer in a polite and responsible manner and to ensure that payment is made to the Company’s requirements and policies at that time
Provide a service to the highest standard that customers can trust
Undertake the goods inwards and receipting processes, issue of parts to workshop jobs and accurately identify and price parts on electronic vehicle health check.
To ensure technicians are served as quickly as possible
Parts that require ordering are obtained as quickly and economically as possible
Return of warranty parts in accordance with manufacturer guidelines
Parts to be properly located as per manufacturer guidelines
All stock and orders to be checked against delivery and advice noted and located

What you will need
Required criteria
- A full valid UK driving licence also required
- Ability to work to deadlines
- Ability to work as a member of a team as well as on own initiative
- Good IT, Interpersonal and communication skills.
- Good customer service experience
- Minimum 1 years’ experience in a busy franchised parts dept. essential
Desired criteria
- Minimum of 5 GCSE’s grade C or above including Maths, ITC and English preferable
- Previous experience within the relevant franchise Motor Trade preferable but not essential
