The Home
Cairnmartin Court Care Home is a modern care facility that provides both Residential Dementia and Nursing Dementia care across 62 rooms. Cairnmartin is situated just 13 minutes from Belfast city centre, this west Belfast Home is within proximity to shops, amenities and public transport. Cairnmartin has a trained and dedicated team which provide person centred care, 24 hours a day to residents. Cairnmartin is presently undergoing renovations to update current facilities and also will welcome the addition of 4 new ensuite bedrooms and a conservatory leading to landscaped gardens. Cairnmartin resembles a home away from home, a place where you are greeted with a smile and laughter fills a room. Here at Cairnmartin we get to know each individual resident and place them at the centre of everything we do.
The Role
At Healthcare Ireland, our Housekeeper role is essential in our mission to provide excellent care. Responsible for the environment of the Home, the Housekeeper lead the domestic and laundry teams in contributing to the wellbeing and quality of life of our residents. The Housekeeper is responsible for ensuring that the Home is clean, tidy and welcoming at all times.
The Housekeeper works closely with the Home Manager, care teams and residents, building trusting relationships to create a comfortable environment where our residents feel safe and cared for. From ensuring that rooms are clean to tidying communal areas, every task contributes to the value that we add to the lives of our residents.
About the role
Main Responsibilities
Oversee and perform a variety of tasks throughout the Home, including vacuuming, dusting, mopping floors, cleaning surfaces in resident rooms, communal areas and offices; adhering to cleaning and laundry schedules as required.
Manage the domestic team to guarantee that all areas of the Home, including bathrooms, kitchens, dining areas and hallways, are maintained to the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene.
Identify and report any damage, faults or other issues to maintenance or management.
Adhere to the cleaning and auditing schedule.
Responsible for the storage of cleaning products, ensuring they meet COSHH regulations and all cleaning machinery and equipment are used properly and stored safely.
Undertake any other duties that may be reasonably required as designated by the Home Manager.

What you will need
Required criteria
- A good standard of both verbal and written English
- Relevant experience for the role
- The Right to Work in the UK
Desired criteria
- Basic knowledge of COSHH, Health and Safety and Fire Regulations
- Previous experience gained within a Health and Social Care setting
- Experience supervising staff
