The successful candidate can expect to work 35 hours per week (excluding breaks), five days out seven including weekends. Typical shift patterns include 8am to 4pm, 9am to 5pm.

The salary for this full-time position is £28,500 per annum

About the role
To provide effective maintenance service associated with heating, ventilation and plumbing services thereby enhancing the guest experience and maximising the profit contribution to the hotel.
To service and maintain all mechanical equipment in conjunction with planned maintenance system
Responsible for monitoring maintenance and repair of boiler house plant
Responsible for all chemical treatment of cold water storage, heating and chilled water services. Responsible for up to date written records of same
Responsible for all repairs, additions or alterations to plumbing services within the hotel
Responsible for any minor metal fabrication work as required
To work effectively with colleagues to ensure a harmonious working environment where all employees are treated with respect and dignity
To ensure a safe environment is maintained in compliance with health, safety, fire, hygiene and security legislation and company policies and procedures
To maintain the security of guest property and storage areas at all times immediately reporting any breaches
To ensure the correct and safe usage and maintenance of any equipment in accordance with set procedures and to keep breakages to an absolute minimum
Any other duties as required by management.
What you will need
Required criteria
- Approved plumbing experience gained within commercial buildings
- Educated to GCSE Standard or the equivalent including English and Maths
- Good communication, numeracy and IT skills
- Smart well groomed appearance
- Excellent attention to detail
- Work well under pressure and be a team player
- A right to work within the United Kingdom
