Support Worker (Days)

Are you passionate about making a real difference in people's lives? Harmoni is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Support Worker (Days) to join our team at the Utility Street Men's Hostel (low/medium risk) in Belfast. This is a fantastic opportunity to provide person-centred, trauma-informed support to single men experiencing homelessness.

Situated just off Donegall Road in Belfast, Utility Street Men’s Hostel provides temporary and supported accommodation for single men experiencing homelessness. The 59-bed hostel aims to support residents on their journey back to independent living within their own communities.

In this vital role, you will be a key part of a supportive team, working to promote safety, dignity, and independence for our residents. You'll help individuals on their journey back to independent living by developing support plans, managing risks, and offering practical assistance.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Welcoming and supporting residents from admission through to their move-on accommodation.

  • Developing and reviewing person-centred, outcome-focused support plans.

  • Providing practical guidance on independent living skills like budgeting and healthy living.

  • Working collaboratively with external agencies to coordinate support and advocate for residents.

If you have experience in a similar setting and a commitment to quality care, we want to hear from you!

About this role

As a Support Worker at Harmoni, your day-to-day will be dynamic and deeply rewarding. You'll be the first point of contact for residents, providing not just practical support but also a listening ear and encouragement. You'll manage individualised support plans, help residents access health and housing services, and facilitate their journey towards independence.

What makes this role truly special is the chance to see the impact of your work. You'll be part of a close-knit, collaborative team dedicated to our values of dignity, respect, and learning. It's more than a job; it's an opportunity to empower individuals and help rebuild lives within a supportive and values-driven organisation.

Working hours are 37.5 per week on a rota basis, Monday to Sunday.
