About the role

Guild Care have an exciting opportunity for an experienced and motivated Home Care Manager or Deputy Manager seeking career growth to become a registered manager within 6months and lead our Home Care service and help shape its future. In the role you’ll be responsible for the day-to-day delivery of a very respected and known care service.

Guild Care’s Home Care service is a welcoming, passionate and kind team who cover a small geographical area in West Sussex. As a driver there will be no long car journeys and a central office space in Worthing town centre.

About this role

Working closely with the Head of Home Care, you will inspire and lead a dedicated home care team as well as assist in growing and developing the service. And of course, keeping the people we support at the heart of everything you do.

  • Leading, motivating and supporting the domiciliary care team

  • Ensuring compliance with CQC regulations and contractual requirements

  • Overseeing quality audits, safeguarding, medication and health & safety

  • Managing care plans, risk assessments, records and electronic rostering

  • Driving and growing the service while managing budgets, income and expenditure

Who we’re looking for

Essential:

  • Relevant professional qualification (minimum Health & Social Care Level 3 QCF Diploma in Leadership – Level 5 preferred)

  • Strong understanding of the CQC regulatory framework

  • Management experience within domiciliary care

  • Passion for supporting older people, including those living with dementia

  • Full driving licence and car

What you will need

Required criteria

  • Understanding of CQC Regulatory Framework
  • Proven experience and a passion for supporting older people, including those with dementia.
  • Experience of managing rotas and covering staff absence
  • Understanding of safeguarding, mental capacity and deprivation of liberty safeguards
  • Ability to travel within the Worthing and Adur area to support people who use our service's
  • Relevant professional qualification (Minimum of an Health & Level 3 QCF Health & Social Care

Desired criteria

  • Experience of managing budgets
  • Train the Trainer qualification
  • Experience developing commercial care services
