Junior BI Analyst

TECHNICAL

About the role  

You will report into our Senior Business Intelligence Analyst to support with designing and delivering reporting, data analysis and business insights to enable and influence informed decision making across our business.

This role can be based within a commutable distance from our Port in Tilbury, Essex and offers a hybrid working model. As the role has group wide responsibilities, sometravel to other Ports will be required

 

Some of your responsibilities will include:

  • Preparation, analysis and sharing of data driven insights to support business core functions and strategies in operational, commercial, financial and ESG domains.

  • Utilising Power BI to design, build and maintain insightful and user-friendly reporting suites and dashboards.

  • Creating reports with UI and UX tailored to the intended consumer.

  • Run long term engagement support with stakeholders to ensure maximum value is obtained from the work you and the wider team have created.

  • Support data cleansing, validation and analysis to ensure data integrity.

  • Conducting ad-hoc reporting and analysis to serve specific requests and needs of the business.

  • Utilising datasets to build succinct reports made up of effective data visualisations.

  • Taking on responsibility for maintaining and improving processes and practices for reporting and data analysis.

  • Throughput, stress that they will be responsible for adding to + updating central content

What are we looking for?

We would like our Business Intelligence Analyst to be someone who has a strong interest and enthusiasm for data analytics and who takes pride in producing innovative and quality work.

Strong interest in directly supporting business stakeholders with analytics solutions

Experience, qualifications and skills required:

  • Ideally you will have a Degree in a Science or Business related discipline (other qualifications will also be considered).

  • A logical and systematic approach to understanding business priorities & devising calculations to quantifying benefits.

  • Strong communication and planning skills, with the ability to present and explain complex material to a diverse range of stakeholders.

  • Ability to self-organise and work independently under your own initiative as well as collaborate as part of a wider team.

  • An understanding of Business Intelligence systems, preferably Microsoft Power BI.

  • Full UK driving license.

  • Strong interpersonal skills & relationship building skills to assist the process of eliciting requirements from stakeholders both in person and remotely

About the role

Your key responsibility is helping our user base across the business get the most from our reporting solutions whether that be through designing an intuitive UI and UX or running engagement programmes.

This role is based within a commutable distance from our Port in Tilbury, Essex and offers a hybrid working model. As the role has group wide responsibilities, regular travel to all of our Ports will also be required.
