Operations Assistant
Targe Towing Limited is a subsidiary of the Forth Ports Group and operates a modern fleet of vessels in support of Port, Harbour and Terminal operating in NE Scotland and beyond.
About the role
This new role has been created to support our wider operations team and is a great opportunity to play an integral part in our established and expanding business.
Working closely with our Operations Manager your responsibilities will include assisting with the co-ordination of operations and issuing towage plans; booking travel arrangements for our crews and being the main point of contact for any general enquiries from our customers and staff.
Some of your other key duties will include managing our company vehicle requirements; purchase requisitioning; processing payroll information related to salaries, overtime, absence and holidays and compiling a range of statistical reports.
You will be based at the Port of Dundee however as there will be a requirement for you to travel between our sites a full driving licence is essential.
What are we looking for?
You must be an experienced and capable Operations Assistant and ideally will have a marine operations background. Efficient, resourceful and proactive, you will have the ability to work on your own initiative whilst managing a busy and varied workload. Excellent administration, planning, communication and IT skills are essential.
The ability to successfully use social media to develop all of our social media platforms would also be advantageous.
