About the Role

As a Housekeeping Assistant, you will support the delivery of high-quality housekeeping services while helping maintain safe, clean and welcoming environments throughout the Home.

You will play an important role in supporting resident comfort, dignity and wellbeing through high standards of cleanliness, presentation and infection prevention practices.

About this role

Key Responsibilities 

Resident Environment & Service Delivery

  • Maintain high standards of cleanliness and environmental presentation. 

  • Support safe, welcoming and comfortable living environments. 

  • Promote resident dignity, comfort and wellbeing. 

  • Contribute to positive resident and visitor experiences.

 

Operational Support & Housekeeping Services

  • Complete housekeeping duties in accordance with schedules and procedures. 

  • Support infection prevention and environmental hygiene practices. 

  • Use equipment, cleaning products and materials safely. 

  • Support wider hospitality and Home activities where required.

Teamwork & Communication 

  • Work collaboratively with care, nursing, catering and laundry teams. 

  • Communicate professionally with residents, visitors and colleagues. 

  • Report concerns, maintenance issues and incidents appropriately. 

  • Promote a positive and supportive team environment.

Compliance & Safety 

  • Follow safeguarding, COSHH, infection prevention and health and safety requirements. 

  • Maintain confidentiality and professional standards. 

  • Support environmental safety and quality standards. 

  • Participate in training and development activities.

  • Passionate about maintaining high standards of cleanliness and presentation 

  • Compassionate and respectful when supporting residents and visitors 

  • Comfortable working independently and as part of a wider team 

  • Committed to resident wellbeing and positive experiences 

  • Experienced within housekeeping, hospitality, cleaning, customer service or similar environments
