CDE Global is now seeking to appoint a Procurement Sourcing Specialist to oversee the group’s sourcing process. This role will be critical in the transformation of CDE’s supply chain and efficient delivery of our solutions across the Mining, Construction & Demolition Waste Recycling, Environmental, Industrial Sands and Sands & Aggregates sectors.
Reporting directly to the Head of Supply Chain, you will have a key role within the Procurement Team and significant input into the strategic direction of the department.
This position is based in Cookstown, Northern Ireland but will require frequent travel as business dictates to supplier sites and the company’s manufacturing site in Monkstown.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
Develop and implement category strategies, managing supplier relationships, and ensuring that procurement processes align with the company’s cost, quality, and delivery objectives.
Partner with key business stakeholders to ensure sourced material and services meet the needs of the business.
Collaborate with Engineering to develop repeatable or standard product structures to drive simplification in product allocation across the supply base.
Conduct market analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and risks within various categories. Monitoring global market conditions that could impact supply chain stability and proactively address potential disruptions.
Actively searching for new capacities locally and regionally, sourcing for new technologies and capabilities in the market.
Manage supplier relationships and opportunities for cost-out and product/supplier improvement, while ensuring production, delivery, and capacity requirements across all direct material categories.
Develop and execute strategies for sourcing, supplier management, negotiation, productivity, and customer and supplier relationships.
Ensure that CDE’s procurement practices meet with all regulatory compliance requirements, identify and address gaps.
Conduct supplier selection and validation, establishing pricing structures with key suppliers assessing their effectiveness and ability to scale to the size and pace of CDE.
Perform detailed cost analysis of components and manufacturing processes used by our suppliers to ensure highest quality at the lowest cost solution.
Negotiate with external suppliers and internal stakeholders.
Conduct problem resolution and settle disputes, develop win/win solutions, and promote positive relations.
Identify potential risks within the supply chain and develop mitigation strategies, ensure suppliers comply with regulatory requirements, company policies, and ethical standards.
Achieve the best contractual conditions while also ensuring internal customer satisfaction.
Negotiate contracts to include pricing, terms, lead times to optimize total value of ownership.
Collaborate effectively across different organizational levels, sites, functions, businesses, and regions to realize sourcing goals and objectives.
Act as Procurement liaison for specified new product launches and manage corresponding sourcing activities to meet project cost and timeline goals.
Any other ad hoc duties that may be required.

Skills, Knowledge and Experience
Essential
The successful candidate will have:
A Bachelor's or Graduate's Degree in engineering, supply chain or business, or equivalent experience.
Demonstrated negotiation, problem solving, and leadership skills.
Experience with ERP systems.
Comfortable onboarding, collaborating, and decision making in relation to supplier selection.
Experience with RFP/RFI systems and processes.
A continuous improvement mindset.
The ability to manage a robust pipeline and pay attention to detail.
Critical thinking ability and excellent communication skills.
A minimum of 5 years procurement experience within the Engineering/materials handling industry.
Desirable
Experience in the Engineering / materials handling industry
IFS experience
APICS Certification/ CIPS
