About the role
Key Responsibilities You'll Take On:
Lead the day-to-day financial operations, including managing accounts payable, receivable, payroll, and maintaining the general ledger with precision.
Play a vital role in preparing insightful monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
Collaborate with key stakeholders to provide financial insights and drive strategic decision-making across the organisation
Conduct financial analysis to uncover trends and variances, providing critical insights that drive business decisions with regards to all products and services.
Contribute to the development and implementation of streamlined financial policies and procedures for smooth, efficient operations.
Support the preparation and monitoring of budgets and forecasts, ensuring the company achieves its financial objectives.
Action regular weekly and monthly exception reports, comparing to KPI’s and budgets to drive impactful business decisions and ensure continuous improvement
Collaborate with external auditors during the year-end audit, ensuring full compliance with industry standards and regulations.
Be a proactive contributor on special financial projects and play a key role in mentoring and developing finance assistants.
Essential Qualifications:
· A minimum of 2 years of experience in a finance-related role.
· Familiarity with UK financial regulations and accounting standards.
· Proficiency in financial software including Xero accounting software.
· Strong skills in Excel.
· Strong analytical abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
Desired Qualifications:
· A Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
· Have or are working towards a professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACCA, CIMA, ACA)
