About this role
As a Support Worker with Autism Together, your day-to-day will be dynamic and deeply rewarding. You'll work within a supportive team to empower autistic individuals, helping them navigate daily life and achieve their personal goals. This involves creating and implementing personalised care plans, assisting with activities from personal care at home to appointments and community outings. This role is perfect for someone with empathy and a desire to help others grow. You'll build meaningful relationships and see the direct impact of your work. We provide extensive training and clear pathways for career advancement, including fully-funded qualifications, ensuring you can develop professionally while making a real difference.
To attend to the care and well-being of the People we support, between the hours of 9.45 p.m. – 7.45 a.m. on a rota basis, for three or four consecutive nights.
2. To undertake the bathing, toileting, changing of beds, and other such duties, with regard to the hygiene and cleanliness of the service users.
3. Will be expected to monitor the progress, or otherwise, of the People we support, and, if requested by the Registered Manager, to make necessary reports within the individual files.
4. Will be expected to record the events of the night in the Night Book.
5. Will undertake any ironing, or mending of People we support clothes, as requested.
6. Will report to the Deputy House Manager, Registered Manager or the Head of Service or a senior member of staff on duty, any problems regarding behaviour, health, and general welfare of any of the service users.
7. Will be expected to regularly check all rooms within the house. This is a statutory obligation.
8. Will have recourse to a member of staff who will be sleeping in, on each night during the working week.
