Credit Controller (12 month Maternity Cover)

Key Responsibilities: 

·       Managing and maintaining the sales ledger to ensure customer accounts are accurate and up to date

·       Proactively collecting outstanding debts by telephone, email and written correspondence

·       Monitoring customer payment performance and following up on overdue accounts

·       Setting up new customer accounts and maintaining account records

·       Allocating customer payments and reconciling accounts

·       Investigating and resolving invoice queries and disputed items in a timely manner

·       Building positive relationships with customers to facilitate prompt payment while maintaining excellent customer service

·       Ensuring compliance with company credit policies and procedures

Key Requirements:

Essential

·       Strong administrative and organisational skills with the ability to prioritise workload

·       High level of accuracy and attention to detail

·       Effective communication skills, both written and verbal

·       Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook

·       Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a busy environment

Desirable

·       at least two years proven knowledge and experience of credit control and dept management. 

·       experience in identifying credit control problems and resolving overdue accounts

·       Familiarity with compliance processes or regulatory documentation
