Our Ethos – Life Still Happens Here

At Oakminster Healthcare, we believe that exceptional care begins with people: those who choose to live within our care communities and the colleagues who support them.

Our philosophy is rooted in person-led care, enablement, dignity, choice, independence and meaningful relationships. We recognise that each individual has their own identity, aspirations, abilities and experiences, and our responsibility is to support them to continue living a fulfilling life.

We are equally committed to investing in our colleagues.

We believe that professional development should be encouraged, supported and embedded within everyday practice. Learning is not confined to formal training; it happens through clinical discussion, mentorship, reflective practice, shared experiences and the confidence to question and improve how we deliver care.

Our Registered Nurses are central to this ethos. They are clinical practitioners, leaders, mentors, coaches and advocates who help create a positive learning culture in which everyone is encouraged to develop their knowledge, skills and professional confidence.

1. Purpose of the Role

The Registered Nurse will provide proactive clinical assessment, management and professional nursing oversight for individuals residing within Oakbridge Care Home.

Working collaboratively with the Care Home Manager, Clinical Lead, Senior Care Assistants, Care Assistants and wider multidisciplinary team, the Registered Nurse will promote safe, effective, evidence-informed and person-led care.

A significant element of the role is to provide visible clinical leadership, mentorship, coaching and professional development opportunities for colleagues, supporting them to recognise changes in health and wellbeing, strengthen their clinical understanding and contribute confidently to positive outcomes.

The Registered Nurse will also take an active role in clinical governance, quality assurance, completion of clinical audits and the development, implementation and evaluation of improvement action plans.

This is a role for a nurse who is passionate about both delivering excellent clinical care and developing the people around them.
