Minibus Driver – Part Time
Hertfordshire | £12.71 per hour | Permanent
Come and make every journey count with Westgate Healthcare! #CareWithUsAtWestgate
Are you a confident driver who enjoys meeting people and making a difference?
We’re looking for a friendly, reliable and caring Minibus Driver to join our team on a permanent, part-time basis. You’ll be helping our elderly residents get out and about safely — whether that’s enjoying a day trip, heading out for an activity or simply getting where they need to go.
This isn’t just about getting from A to B. It’s about making the journey part of the experience.
You’ll be a familiar and friendly face for our residents, helping them feel safe, comfortable and supported every step of the way.
About this role
Location: Care homes across Hertfordshire, Buckinghamshire, London and Essex, with travel as required
Pay: £12.71 per hour
Hours: 22.5 hours per week
Working pattern: 3 days per week, 8:00am–4:00pm
Important: The minibus is based at Westgate House Care Centre in Ware (SG12 7LP). You’ll need to be able to get yourself to Ware at the start of your shift, collect the minibus, complete the required journeys, and return the minibus to Ware at the end of the day.
As the role involves travelling to different care homes and destinations across Hertfordshire, Buckinghamshire, London and Essex, you’ll need to be comfortable travelling and driving across these areas.
More About the Role
As a Minibus Driver, you’ll be responsible for making sure every journey is safe, smooth and enjoyable.

Planning practical, safe and cost-effective routes and coordinating pick-up and drop-off times with the Home Manager.
Following all relevant risk assessments, health and safety procedures, manual handling guidance and emergency protocols.
Providing a friendly, patient and reassuring service to residents throughout every journey.
Representing Westgate Healthcare professionally and compassionately wherever you go.
