We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate Centre Manager to lead the day-to-day operations of one of our vital centres. Reporting to the Service Manager, you will inspire and guide your management team to cultivate a safe, caring, and stimulating environment for our residents. This pivotal role offers the opportunity to make a profound impact, ensuring the highest standards of care delivery and operational excellence are consistently met.
About this role
You will be responsible for the safe operation of the centre and all decisions made in respect of care and management. Key responsibilities include implementing comprehensive Programmes of Care, leading professional supervision and team meetings, and managing centre resources and personnel. You will oversee the arrangement of rosters to ensure appropriate skill mixes and identify training needs through bi-annual analysis. Additionally, you will maintain the Centre Risk Register and ensure the facility is always prepared for regulatory audits.
What you will need
Required criteria
- Qualifications: Minimum Level 7 in Social Care (or relevant alternative) AND a management qualification suitable for a health/social care setting.
- Experience: 4 years in Social Care with children/young people (Residential) OR 3 years in a management/supervisory role (Disability).
- Health & Character: Fully competent for duties and of good character.
- Driving: Full, clean manual driving licence and eligible to drive in Ireland.
- Communication: Fluent in written and spoken English.
- Legal: Valid eligibility to work in Ireland.
- Requirements: Flexibility for shift work (days, sleepovers, live nights) and participation in an on-call roster.
