Join Rainbow Community Services, a dedicated provider of high-quality residential care for children and young people in the Drogheda region since 2005. As we expand and build upon our history of excellence with new centres in development, we are seeking a passionate and experienced Deputy Social Care Manager to join our team.
This pivotal role is a unique blend of direct, hands-on work with young people and key management responsibilities. You will work alongside the Centre Manager to create and maintain a caring, safe, and professional environment for both residents and staff. Your duties will involve overseeing the daily operations of the centre, ensuring compliance with National Standards for Children's Residential Centres, and taking a lead in liaising with professionals regarding care plans, referrals, and inspections.

About this role
As a Deputy Social Care Manager, your days will be dynamic and impactful. You'll split your time between working directly on the rota with our young people, providing essential support and guidance, and stepping into a leadership capacity. This includes assisting the Centre Manager with operational oversight, financial and accounting duties, and acting as a crucial link between staff and management.

What you will need
Required criteria
- A minimum of two years’ experience working with young people prior to commencing the role is required.
- A relevant qualification in Social Care or a related field
- Thorough knowledge of the National Standards for Residential Centres and relevant legislation
- Must meet one of the following criteria: 2 years' experience as a Social Care Leader in Children's Mainstream Residential Care; OR a QQI Level 8 in a relevant field with 2 years' post-qualification experience; OR a QQI Level 7 in a relevant field with 3 years' post-qualification experience and enrollment in a management/supervisory program; OR a professional qualification in Social Work with 3 years' post-qualification experience and enrollment in a management/supervisory program.
- Hold a relevant qualification at QQI Level 7 or above in fields such as Social Care, Psychology, Social Science, Youth and Community, or similar.
- Registered or have submitted an application for registration with CORU.
- Demonstrable history of competence in all aspects of management.
